Painted Stones

A sunny morning soon passed, overcast for a while, then showers, and now rained most of the night.

A quieter day working on the museum desk, but still plenty of visitors about.  We've had a busy day preparing for our newest exhibition, and it opens tonight, although I'm not attending.  Hans Holbein the Younger painting goes on display, portrait Lady with a Squirrel and Starling.  It really is an outstanding piece of work, and hopefully draw in plenty of folk.  With the poor night, I've had a very relaxing evening at home, and much needed.

There's a great idea sweeping through the streets of Scalloway just now, these painted stones.  It started a few months ago, and they are popping up on various places.  We've had a few placed about our gate and road, and spotted many in other places.  Our neighbours, Carina and Mark have gathered a few on their steps.  Such a cheery idea and brings a smile.  Taken at Houl Road, Scalloway.
