Due to the flare and the low cloud base....we have an appropriate colour for Hallowe'en straight from the camera......;0)

The Mossmorran NGL (natural gas liquids) fractionation plant is part of the North Sea Brent oil and gas field system....methane is extracted at St Fergus and sent to the National Grid......here after being piped 223kms the rest of the gas is distilled into Ethane, Butane, Propane and Natural Gasoline....the ethane is 'turned into Ethylene.....used on so many things its hard to believe.

I went to work this morning it was 'flaring away....been this way for a few weeks as major works are completes. This is a safety mechanism....anything 'bad' within the plant is burned up in this flare turning into something safer.

Early start again tomorrow then the weekend off!!

Amazing how things can change rapidly....emotional rollercoastering.....we got news yesterday somebody very dear to us, was very poorly indeed. This morning, things have eased somewhat and though still not great, a good deal better than they were.
Mamma would appreciate this ......
