It ever fails

I wondered whether the icy cold winds we had just as the rhododendron buds were emerging would do damage, but the flowers have come through as beautiful as ever. Twenty-six years in a pot, and still it delights us. Most of the flowers are still buds, but it looks good, and is worthy of being an extra.
Lovely day today. I did some useful gardening and when I got weary of that I sat in the sun and polished some silver.
