Nut

I do not know what tree this nut belongs to. I found it on autumn on the ground at a Harry Lauder's walking stick / Corylus avellana Contorta, but the other nuts do not look like this, so I think an animal, maybe a squirrel, has put this nut there, so it might be some other kind of nut.
