If you can't beat them...

Eider ducks.

The day started very dreich.  We planned to have a look at loch Fyne and then probably the "inland" end of the Crinan canal.  The trip up the loch was interesting, we would have prefered more stopping places and more views of the loch but there you go.  We stopped at one or two places and had a look at Inveraray.

We then drove on to Loch Fyne Oysters for coffee.  On the way back we again had a look round Inveraray.  "The Mate" recieved a business eamil which required immediate attention and needed information from his laptop so we headed back to the caravan.  When the email was sorted because it had faired up he decided to replace the regulator on the gas supply in his Land Rover Dormobile conversion.  On removing the cylinder ir was found to be faulty and leaked gas.

Fortunately the cap/handle sealed it.  So it was a trip to the gas merchant who  had supplied the regulator this morning.  When we arrived the yard was close, fortunately a tanker driver arrived.  A little phoning coupled with access to the yard courtesy of the tanker driver secured permission to leave the cylinder there and they will sort a refund/replacement for him when he gets home.

On the way back to the van I spotted a pair of Eider ducks.  Not having seen as many as I expected this trip.  I took the chance of a few shots.  So obviously that is my blip for today.  A male and female Eider duck.
