Finally the ferns are starting to appear in the woods - there was nothing just a few days ago.

Was amused to stumble across two cock pheasants fighting - they were so intent that they didn’t notice us - well not until the pups piled in. I spotted a female sneaking off nearby - guess she was the cause of their quarrelling.
