Swans in Stouffville

Edward and I visited a conservation pond in Stouffville this afternoon, where we saw some swans and a number of assorted birds, gold finches, song sparrows,  and red wing blackbirds. These two swans looked like they might be building a nest in the background and if you look close you might see a turtle or two sunning themselves.
We did not stay too long as a weather front was coming through Southern Ontario with high winds and rain this afternoon. Winds up to 110km brought down trees and scattered debris over the roads and caused many power outages.  We got home safely but we  saw some of the wind damage on the way home. The weather front has brought in colder temperatures now 10c.Happy Swan Friday!
