Clean air

Weather is getting warmer and they say summer is just around the corner!! It's hard to believe, because spring came late.

Finland has the cleanest air in the world, reported WHO three days ago! Monitoring stations suggest that there are some 6 micrograms of small particles per cubic metre of air in Finland, the lowest figure recorded worldwide. There is clear reason why Finnish air is among the cleanest: it is far away from concentrations of polluting industry. Air quality in Estonia, Sweden, Canada, Norway and Iceland is almost as good.

Asia and Africa have some of the worst air quality, according to the WHO, with nine out of ten people worldwide breathing polluted air. More than 90% of humans breathe dangerously contaminated air and more than 7 million people are prematurely killed each year due to air pollution. The lowest-ranking countries in the comparison were Uganda, Mongolia, Qatar, India and Cameroon.
