O2 Forum Kentish Town Gomez

When you book tickets for a gig you of course don’t know what the weather will be like.

It was a glorious day. The boys were walked in our local wood and we met an elderly man going for a very long walk to his favourite fish and chip shop. He also mentioned that he took a photo every day of the trees. We chatted about local walks and he helped us to find an unknown circular walk for the boys.

After s few errands and lunch we headed off to a very warm London. Determined to not just eat in a chain restaurant we ate in the Queen of Sheba, an Ethiopian restaurant. We chose a meat and vegetable sharing selection. It arrived with a thin flat bread called injera and no cutlery. So you tear off a piece and use it to pick up some food. It was very sociable.

I’d researched some walks in the area and we headed off to find a view if one of the old London rivers. I think that there are five in total. I think that view is not the right one as the River Fleet was in a large pipe and therefore not very photogenic.

The concert was great although very hot and the seats were very uncomfortable as they were padded benches. But Gomez were superb. The support act was good too but hard to hear as people talked through him. How very rude.

We were back after 1pm hence the late blip apologies
