The old oak

Today we did a quick trip to Costco, mainly for petrol and a chili potato for lunch and then to IKEA for very little!  On the way back we took the scenic route and again passed this huge oak tree with its plaque.  This time we stopped long enough for me to take a photo and I was surprised to see just what it was about. (The lady in the photo is reading the plaque)
