Living Mannequins....

For the 6th year i think, our lovely little community library has put on this amazing fund raising event.....Living Mannequins.

A dedicated team of librarians and local people, spend many hours rehearsing, creating customs and then spend the day giving 3 performances, that last approximately 2 hours each.   It is a library fundraiser and was the creation of Cora-Lee and Chef George of the Dancing River Sprite, who put on monthly feasts each one based on a piece of literature.    This event takes 12 of the books used previously at the feast and we the audience, are guided thro our rather small library, to each of the 12 vignettes.   Here is Jennifer, in a custom of her own creation, reading from The Ladies of Grace Adieu: Mrs. Mabb, don't remember the author, but she was amazing!

In the extra's are: Laura & Marina doing Alice in Wonderland.  Cora-Lee dealing with a wobbly ladder, presenting The Princess and the Pea, and Sue giving us one of the many characters in My Family and Other Animals.

After each reading we are treated to amazing food, all donated by local chefs.

It is an amazing event, and it just seems to get better and better.
