Jefe

Research takes you to unusual places and introduces you to interesting people. Today I met Paco, police chief of a municipality on the Costa del Sol. This was the epaulette on his uniform, the baton signifying his position as “jefe”. I had a fascinating tour of his police station and met some of his top officers. Paco is the middle generation of three generations of policemen.
