Great Expectations

We're off to the theatre tonight to see Great Expectations.

I think they had great expectations when they started this hotel development on the A40 near Burford, way back in 2001, the Windrush Heights Hotel on the site of the old Windrush Café. Work stopped before it was completed. More recently work started again after planning permission was granted to convert the site into luxury apartments and homes. Work on that seems to have stopped as well. Whatever they do with the site it will have super views of the oilseed rape fields.

We drove past on our return journey from the garden centre. Got some bedding plants so a successful visit this time.

In other news my father-in-law phoned late yesterday evening to say he had a mouse in the kitchen. We are driving up to Castle Bromwich tomorrow to see if we can catch it for him. I don't have great expectations there either.
