Dainty Damsel

What wonderful weather we are having ..... a real treat!

We had a lovely walk this afternoon at Kirkby Moor ....... it was beautiful ..... we heard our first cuckoo ....... were laughed at by a Green Woodpecker which then gave us a fly by! We saw loads of Brimstone butterflies ..... all of which refused to land! Also Orange Tip, Whites & a few others that flew by too quickly to identify.

We saw a pair of Kestrel hunting ....... a Wheatear watched us from afar ...... we heard a Chiffchaff calling .... lots of other twitterings & song too :-)

I did manage to get a photo of the dainty Damselfly ....... do hope you like it :-)

All in all a really wonderful afternoon :-)
