Roll With It

So. Panning from left to right today, at a much slower speed, there is no weirdness going on. Having looked about online a bit, it is the "rolling shutter" effect that I experienced yesterday. This is where the camera moves faster than the sensor can record and thus tilts the shots sideways. This factor is unacceptable for a sports shooter, but the 42mbs of pixels does make incredible slower compositions. For landscapes, the pixel-shift feature should make the absolute best images available on any camera.
