It's Grim Up North

Two days with W and D in their new home in Devon, having left their small holding in Somerset after 35 years. More time for sailing for D and photographing moths and playing in a recorder orchestra for W and less time lambing and reroofing barns.
It rained. I gave W a quick lesson on apertures, depth of field etc so that she can get her images of her littled winged friends in focus. She said she'd learnt more with me in a couple of hours than she had on any of the courses she'd been on which is nice, though if you were educated with someone and spent your teenage years with them you tend to know their learning style and how to deliver information to them. W is a scientist with minimal technical abilities! But she is licensed to handle dormice.
