Now, as I see it......

Sunflowers

We don't get many visitors to the house but today we expected two who hadn't been here before; one to collect a parcel I was sending, and another for an initial site visit for some of the work we are having done. So today was the day the Council decided to close the road to repair all the potholes. Fortunately, the courier made it before the heavy equipment moved in, but the builder had to park up in the village and find his way on foot. A noisy afternoon, with road planers, sweepers, lorries full of Tarmac, JCB's and road rollers all trying to out-do each other on the decibels. So here is a rather more peaceful scene; the lych gate at the church which had been decorated with sunflowers for a wedding and Christening at the weekend. We knew something was going on when we heard all the church bells ringing; nice to hear, but I was hoping they weren't going to continue until they got it right.
