Borders

Managed to take one surreptitious snap at Rafah crossing, the border between Gaza and Egypt, where Qatari flags are still flying since the visit of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the emir of Qatar, last week.

We got through the Palestinian side with no problems, and then waited for nearly two hours in no-man's land to be told that the Egyptian side had closed. Many others had waited a lot longer. Back on the bus, passport stamps cancelled, and then into a taxi back to Gaza City. So, six hours and 165 shekels later, I'm back where I started.

We'll try again tomorrow. "bukra inshallah".
