Polka Dots and Sunbeams

Field Trip: Monterey Bay Aquarium
We had a wonderful outing. Because we joined the Aquarium the last time we were there, we don't feel pressured to see every single organism on display each time we visit. We come and go as we please, taking time, for instance, to stand in front of this one tank and feel all the colors flicking by. It was like being inside a kaleidoscope.

Then we watched them clean the penguins' habitat, and returned later to see the feeding. Mesmerized, we swayed with the giant kelp that are anchored in the signature three story tank, and went face to face both with huge fish and tiny swirling silver schools. It was lovely, and I was (slowly) walking for over two hours in my funny boot with the orthotic stuck inside, no problem.
