Water sports

Ascension Day is - as it is across much of continental Europe - a public holiday in Finland. I spent most of it writing, but we did take a wonderful early walk around the parades and to Regatta, which had been too busy for us to stop yesterday. So we made up for it today. It being a public holiday, this has encouraged the Finns on to the water. Actually, they don't seem to need much encouragement. We saw rowing boats, kayaks, cruisers, and speed boats, all within half an hour sitting at Regatta.

I added an extra as the spring flowers are now out in force.

And happy because this cold doesn't seem to have amounted to much and I'm now feeling much better, which is good as we have visitors arriving tomorrow.
