Singing To a White Sky

It’s good to have the starlings back. Their chatter and mimicry are a pleasant background to my days. They breed around my house, and when the last family has fledged they fly off somewhere for a few months, perhaps to join a murmuration.

When I was working in the greenhouse I spotted a common copper butterfly. They are very hard to pin down, but I was delighted to get a shot of it, along with its reflection in the poly wall. See extra shot.
