Custody of the bed

The cats have a dogs bed which they used to share, now they try to get custody of it and then stretch out so the other one cannot get on it.  Claude was keen turf her off and started to wash and then bite her... she hissed at him, something I have never heard her do before.  We have about 8 cat beds in our house so they can always move somewhere else, but instead they decided to have a fight as I was trying to get to sleep.
