Beach trees

Everywhere along the high border of the Elbe. Geologically this border is a high dune that the winds have blown out of the post ice age dry sand bed of the later Elbe. You can see that in the vegetation. The high forests on the Isle of Ruegen (Kreideküste) have the same vegetation and a very similar geological history.
