Cairngorms

Today's the day ............................ to travel

Spent most of the day driving back down to Kendal from near Beauly, north of Inverness - where we had spent the night with good friends, Jane and Steve.

The journey was uneventful and the weather good, but there wasn't a lot of time to stop and take pictures.  This one is looking across at the Cairngorms, still with a little bit of snow here and there - but the bright greens of the new leaves contrasting with the conifers.  Those are wild geese in the foreground.

There was a welcome stop for fish and chips in the 'Shap Chippy' on the last leg of the journey ...........................
