Docadiem

The Juliet of Plants (without a Romeo, of course)

Agave’s live 10-20 years before flowering.
Then it’s show time.

She sends a giant stalk up towards the sky.
Covered with exquisite flowers.

How often does an agave’s bloom, you ask?
Just once, my friend, just once.
Like Juliet, she blooms, them dies.

Before her beauty’s shriveled and gone.
She leaves behind bunches of baby agaves.
