I Feel Very Lucky Indeed

After torrential rain most of the night I was convinced we would either have floated off the campsite all together or at the very least wake up to grey skies and a wet muddy mess! Instead we awoke to blue skies and sunshine.

We started the day on the cross country course, walking most of the length of the course watching a competitor at each jump until we reached the water jump where we settled down to watch for a while. We got to watch all the big names (well to us anyway) including William Fox-Pitt, Sir Mark Todd, Mary King and here Dee Hanky riding Chequers Playboy.

We finished off our day watching the show jumping from the Member’s Tent enjoying a nice cold Pimm’s in the sunshine before having to pack up and head home.

We have had such a fabulous weekend and I was so honoured to spend it with three very lovely ladies doing something we all love to do ... I feel very lucky indeed.
