Inside the Dome

One of the most dramatic spaces in Britain and the largest unsupported dome in Europe. Built in 1779 by the 5th Duke of Devonshire, this magnificent Grade II* listed building has dominated the Buxton skyline ever since.
Formerly the Royal Devonshire Hospital It is now the site of the Devonshire campus of the University of Derby.
The exterior is my extra.
