Chinese Delicacy

I thought turtles are protected. Though I don't really see turtle meat on menu at restaurants it doesn't mean it's not there.

While Hong Kong has long banned dog and cat meat and has strict rules on importing meats of wild life animals, you can still find them. You can see them half-hidden under stalls at wet markets.

One thing that amazes me about this place is certainly food. You will find bird's nest soup made out of chicken broth and bird saliva, 100-year old eggs (buried in a clay, sand and salt mixture for a couple of months, melting their insides to jelly), shark fin soup (still controversial), turtle jelly, chicken feet, chicken testicles, snake soup and sea slugs.

My little friends on the picture will end up in a soup.

Hm.
