Autumn vines

It was like spring this morning. Sunny, 17°C and a light breeze. We had a trip around the hills through Montesquieu and Fos, Lo Jardinièr looking out for flowering plants - and there were some, even at this time of year - while I looked out for mazets and other buildings. The birds were singing, the bees were buzzing around the arbutus flowers and the wild mint, and we picked wild thyme to put on our tomatoes for lunch. I'd almost given up hope of seeing the usual beautiful autumn colours in the vineyards this year as the vines seem to have turned from green to dingy brown to threadbare in just a week or so. But on the way home I saw this vineyard. It may be my only autumn vines shot this year.
