Goldfinch + Black-and-white Warbler

We returned to the Fort River refuge today at 7 a.m. for a walk organized by our bird club (the HBC)--perhaps as many as thirty birders, so we divided into two groups. It was a good morning, with quite a number of species. There were several American Goldfinch, including this male--the first we have seen this year.  The Black-and-white Warbler in the extra is also a male, with distinctly more solid black in his plumage than a female. It was a dull morning, and both bird were distant--thus less than ideally sharp.
