Throwing Beans Festival (Setsubun)

Went to a temple to attack Demons!!

On this festival, we throw roasted soy beans to demons (people wearing demon's masks) to keep them away from our houses, so we believe we get only good luck.

After throwing beans, we are supposed to eat the same number of soy beans to our age for happiness.

There were 3 demons in the temple. Red one in this pic, hard to see the face though. In the wooden box each people are holding, we got beans+ one 5 yen coin (lucky coin!).

*Setsubun day is February 3.
