When the power company put the lines up across the farm, he couldn’t understand how the birds on the wires weren’t fried by the electricity. I explained that it was OK to touch the high-voltage wires as long as you didn’t touch the ground at the same time. He’s in DC now but he must have listened to me because, since he left, he hasn’t once put a foot on the farm’s earth.
