Beautiful pest

The wild, prickly cucumber is making it's yearly comeback. The delicate flowers are very photogenic, the intricate tendrils coil around any potential support in a most fascinating way...and so it engulfs the nearby vegetation, in this case our fig bush. I try to gather every seed pod to keep it from spreading. So far I'm not winning...
