Setting The Circle

Today at IESE was the first formal meeting of our latest Executive Circles in which we encourage the members to share beyond the normal biographical basics to establish deeper connections which allow unrestrained exploration of challenges to mine deeper learnings which lead to great solutions and performance. Got it?!

It's not an easy thing to get across and convince battle-hardened executives of the value. I've suffered many ups and downs in the introduction process in full-class sessions both in the last module and this module. But we got there when we put it all into practice today in the smaller groups!

Fantastic sharing all round (four circles of seven people each) producing spontaneous thank-yous among the members for feeling honoured with the trust that disclosure implies. This will stand them in good stead for the months and years ahead during which we hope their circles become a rich on-going resource for all the members.

I tried to set the room to break from the board table convention even though the massive table is immovable as is the pillar!
