Sooth Havra Village

Quite a bit of cloud this morning, but the skies cleared and been a sunny day, all day.  There was a breeze earlier, and finished with a flat calm evening.

It's my day off work today.  It started with chores about the house, and then headed to the dump with a load from yesterday, garden waste.  Popped along Madeline for a cuppa, before I headed to raise more peats in the hill.  Went for a walk with Sammy at Maywick beach in the afternoon, and then more work in the garden.  A run on the boat this evening.  A quiet evening at home now.

This evening we headed to South Havera for a run, an isle abandoned by the 1930s.  Although this past week it has had it's yearly residents, Adeline and John Fullerton, and their son Robert-Lee.  They are out for the lambing and stay in the peerie house still with the roof.  Spot Adeline in the centre if the photo.  I loved to have seen this village when it was buzzing with people.  The folk here used to chain their bairns to the walls, you can see why when looking from above.  Taken with the drone.
