Lincolnshire roadside verge

I went to Lincoln today and in the car was listening to radio 4 . There was a discussion on the decline in diversity in the plants on roadside verges and how this impacted on insects, birdlife, bees etc. We have several verges that are protected verges and managed by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and I passed this verge near Donnington on Bain and thought it was rather beautiful.
