Away Day

My wife and I visited our daughter in York today, seeing her for the first time since the university term started a month ago. I had a good day capped with the comfort tonight that our daughter is happy there, on good form and enjoying making new friends.

York does merit better than my tourist image of York Minster's western aspect but today was focussed on our daughter.

The city was welcoming, East Coast Trains were punctual and my wife an enjoyable travelling companion, how an away day should be !
