Flower Friday : : Bearded Iris

The jays are busy driving off the ravens which are twice their size.
The hawks and the crows are doing battle somewhere in the trees...we can hear their distinctive cries.
The lizards are scurrying out of all the cracks in the rocks
They eat the insects and do their pushups while keeping their eyes out for hawks.
The deer come by every evening and eat the roses, especially
when OilMan forgets to spray them with something that offends their noses.
It is spring in the garden and the grass in the field is as high we are.
It will have to be mowed soon before it turns to tinder for a fire.
The flowers bloom...oblivious.
We rescued the bearded iris plants from a ditch.
and in spite of the neglect, they seem to have found their niche.

Thanks to Biker Bear for carrying on with the challenge.
