Changing moods

Up early camp packed up and headed up a hill.

A cracking wee hill with limestone rock outcrops with loads beautiful flowers, the rocks were sharp and eroding. A Fox spotted on the way up. A stunning viewpoint.

A good descent and round to lochcarron for hill 2. More micro hydro work with improved path to the hillside. A stalking path took us high and we zig zagged to the summit.

A great descent and back to car.

A wee drive up the road to hill 3 and 4. More micro hydro work gave a good road half way up the Glen. A hill of cracking marker cairns to the only trig point of the trip. Met a ptarmigan and young mountain hare. Wind assisted descent and last climb of the day. George was in the zone and i struggled to keep up. Full of food and water we ran of the hill to the car. I had a wee dook in the river to freshen up.

Headed home via a white pudding supper and fuel for car.

28km walking.
