Pomp and Ceremony

A truly memorable day watching the Royal Wedding, firstly on a big screen in my village church, secondly at my friend’s house and finally on the highlights this evening!

Proud to be British today with my American cousins and felt happy for Anglo-American and multi-cultural relationships. The ceremony was the perfect blend of traditional ‘pomp and ceremony’ and modernity with the contrast of the Archbishop of Canterbury and Dr King who had such passion in his sermon.

Loved the Rolls Royce, Givency dress and veil with beautiful lace detailing, white rose and peony floral archways, the Windsor Grey and Horseguard Black ceremonial horses, the high society fashion (the good and bad), Meghan’s freckles, Harry’s smile, and of course the gospel choir who gave me the goosebumps singing “Stand By Me”.

Lovely community spirit in the village church today with bunting, coffee and cake and complimentary union flags. Although it felt strange drinking coffee in a pew!

Congratulations to the Duke & Duchess of Sussex (my home county). It was a day full of love and so lovely to share it with great friends.
