Farfield Mill - Backblip

500 or more Blood Bikers and Bikers from all over the country came to Kendall today to honour and pay tribute at the funeral of Russell Curwen, a fellow Blood Biker who lost his life on the 5th May in an accident in Lancaster whilst delivering emergency samples to a laboratory so we thought we wouldn't go into Kendall today and instead visited the lovely town of Kirkby Lonsdale, where I spent some time in a lovely craft shop and Mr T watched the breaking down and clean up operation in the square of the recent two week's filming of a new version of Dr Doolittle. We picnicked in the sun and then went onto Sedbergh where we spent a wonderful few hours at Farfield Mill, a once thriving weaving Mill but now home to some fabulous displays of art work of all kinds and weaving demonstrations on the still working huge looms.

We walked beside the River at Sedbergh on a path edged with swathes of wild garlic and bluebells. It's been another lovely day, we're loving our caravan site, it's very rural and we drift off to sleep to the sound of owls hunting and awake early as the 3 resident cockerels give it some wellie!
