Pooh House

We met a brave and lovely man today.

Pooh House in Fittleworth was open today for a special commemoration of Mary Reed’s life. She died 25th April after battling cancer for some years.
She and her husband Paul developed the gardens over the last 32 years, as a place of rest and retreat, and fun and interest for children and adults alike. The couple have raised thousands of pounds for charities.
Today’s opening was in aid of Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice, and the gardens will be open next bank holiday weekend to raise money for the village church where Mary will be laid to rest.
I don't think we've ever had such a warm welcome to an open garden.
