Steep

After a morning of pottering, it was out to get the train down to Hampshire. I had to detour via Liverpool St. because of engineering work and the dreaded 'real replacement bus' which I had no intention of taking. Through London, and then down to Petersfield. Lovely evening and walked up to the pub where I was staying in Steep. It was closed for the evening, and the other nearby pubs were also closed - not ideal. Watched telly and listened to birdsong. Out for an evening stroll, to the church here, which has windows dedicated to the local poet and writer Edward Thomas.
