The dropped stitch

For a couple of weeks there's been work going on at the top of the village demolishing a couple of derelict old houses. The rooves were going and windows broken. Not old attractive, just old and past repair.

First of all brand new wire fencing appeared around them. Then a large sign advertised 'firewood' for anyone who wanted it. Now, this brick chimney is all that's left.

Two good dancing sessions and some grass cutting. The only fly in the ointment was the strimmer string which ran out with probably only 15 minutes work left to do. Last time I wound on new string no bother. This afternoon lots of bother, and eventually time and patience ran out.
