Whitsun

The sum did indeed come out during the day. We are going through a phase of late afternoon thunderstorms - been that way for a couple of days and due to continue all next week. Ideal for the vegetable plot which is now done. The only problem is that the nights remain very cool.

The girls did more or less the same ride as yesterday. MrsMY was very pleased with the English saddle even though it is a "tree-less" version that we bought years ago as a temporary measure. Our proper English saddle was stolen or politely put, permanently borrowed by a shady character who changes stables several times a year leaving debts with farriers, vets, house <and stable owners. We didn't know this at the time he loaned it for a week or two to try it out.

Sadly Mrs MY only got time off for two days of the long weekend (Whitmonday) but still, it was great for Angie & Rosie.

The Blip is in a section of state forestry near to yesterday's Blip. Seldom see deciduous trees and indeed if you look 10 metres to the left and right of the road you will see the normal spruce. The fresh spring green of deciduous trees is wonderful. Evergreens have their time and purpose but are the same 24/7/365.......
