Fig Tree

Charles Dickens said:

"Train up a fig tree in the way it should go, and when you are old sit under the shade of it".

I've only just come across the quote, but I suppose that is what Jane and I have done between us.

We bought our fig tree from Wentworth Garden Centre and I've trained it, and shaped it, over the years (under the supervision of Jane, of course!). Now we both sit under it's shade in the summer.

It's leaves are still quite small now, but they will become huge, and provide good shade.
