Wood Carving

Near to the Town Gate and just over the road from Meadow Platt there is this carving. Carved from a solid tree it is very intricately designed. The research is continuing to attempt to discover it's origin and significance. In the background is a plaque dedicated to unrestricted use of the park by the armed services during the 1914-18 conflict.
