Mayhem on the 95!

This is a backblip as we have had a manic 24 hours and we are now doing lots of jobs such as cleaning the carpet, filling the bird feeders and sorting the washing in order to stay awake until proper GB bedtime.

Becky's idea of us taking an airport shuttle to avoid the chaos and tragedy of Manhattan was just the right thing to do but we had the scariest ride on the 95. I thought the mini bus was full when we got on but he made three more stops en route to JFK and more passengers got on. Then we overtook and undertook and cut corners (and he answered his mobile several times) and then seriously jockeyed with the yellow cab drivers at La Guardia and JFK. We were quite relieved to be off the roller coaster even with six hours of sitting at the gate ahead of us. Neither of us slept on the overnight flight. I watched 'Brave' which is another fabby Disney and listened to ABBA Gold! It was a quick dash across Dublin Airport for our second flight only to discover that our train home was in fact a bus and then a train which visited every stop between Huddersfield and Leeds. Thankfully Jen picked us up from the station before we were totally wiped out.

Anyway we are home now and about to catch up on Downton Abbey and DC Banks, providing we don't fall asleep. So yesterday's blip is a very bad one taken out of the 'limo' window crossing the Whitestone Bridge from the Bronx and looking across to Manhattan. I'm surprised it isn't shakier! Now I have to change the time on my camera and find a Saturday blip!

Lovely holiday and just great to see the big kids and family!

Oops meant to say look large and you'll see a plane taking off from La Guardia!
