Mono Monday...Trio

My buddy Doug and I were walking in a subdivision last December, when we saw a huge pile of discarded fence boards. I said to him..."I think I could make something out of those." I went back to pick them up, and...well...they have now become fish...folk art fish.

The problem? The fish beg to be in color...in fact...they beg to be multi-colored.

So, the color picture is in the Extras. The top one is a University of Michigan fish, but...if you turn it over...it is a Michigan State fish.

Fun to do, but the texture of the rough wood surface REALLY soaks up the paint.
