Red Mulch Embrace

Our gardeners spread new reddish mulch today around the plants along a driveway, extending the red color theme to four days. (The gardening service comes periodically with no involvement on our part--it's great having benevolent landlords.)  Rain threatened much of the day, but only a few drops fell--just as well, since we've had more than enough in the last few weeks.  I worked today on some bird images from our week in Albania last month (it begins here if you missed it). I can't resist putting one up as a delayed extra:  a pied wagtail landing in a stream.
